Where we celebrate the joyous and loving milestones in life

St. Peter’s is a small country church in scenic Chester Springs, Chester County, established in 1771, our current building built in the 1840’s in English Colonial style – a beautiful setting offering all accommodations to host a wedding celebration.

The church seats 150 comfortably and just outside stands a gazebo that provides a bucolic setting for pictures. There is a small fellowship hall for receptions and a picnic pavilion for outside receptions.

Pastor Ron Wesemann is available for marriage preparation counseling and to officiate at your service. Music Director Gabriel Rebolla is available to provide music for your service. For less than the cost of most photographers and flowers, you can take advantage of the church’s resources for your wedding. Visit the contact page to reach out to Pastor Wesemann.

We welcome all people to the Baptismal Font – infants, children and adults.

Baptism is God’s way of bringing us into the family of God, and an opportunity to enter into the community of faith in Jesus as our Lord and Savior, the church. With minimal instruction, adults are accepted into the congregation as confirmed members, invited to participate fully in the activities and decision making of the church. Infants and children, while members of the church, gain church voting rights upon completion of their confirmation instruction.

For information and to arrange for baptism, contact Pastor Ron Wesemann at the church number (610-933-9611).

Note: We, as Lutherans, accept the baptisms of other Christian faiths and do not see a need to re-baptize those from other churches who seek to join the St. Peter’s congregation.

End of Life Care

The Church of St. Peter’s Lutheran is available to help you during your time of grief, to help you commit your loved one to the Lord and to lay him/her to rest. Pastor Wesemann can be available to assist you in this process and lead the funeral and burial services.

Our music director Gabriel Rebolla is often also available for services. If you are in need of a cemetery plot or are looking for a beautiful place to scatter your loved one’s ashes, we have a hilltop cemetery with a scattering garden. The scattering garden, you can use on your own or with the services of the pastor.

All costs are reasonable and certainly in line with those of other churches and cemeteries. Please contact the church office to speak with Pastor Wesemann or Denise Rich our church administrator about funeral and cemetery fees related to your needs.
